mentality, jett grrl specializes
in steel bikes, mostly custom or semi-custom builds. why steel, you may ask? because "steel is real" :O)
it's the only thing we ride. you want a bike that will ride soft and sweet forever?
you do not want to be contributing to more landfill? you appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of a hand made frame?

we build fully geared road, touring, and commuter bikes, as well as sexy fixed gear & single speeds.
check out our GALLERY! we carry TRAITOR, IRO, SOMA, SALSA, JAMIS and KHS, as well as some vintage frames (preferably italian, if we can find them!).

PLUS custom frames of any spec, any color, lugged or not, all grades of tubing! we prefer
to sell
better quality so you won't be replacing bits anytime soon; our general advice is spend as much as you can afford.
in this era of disposability, higher end stuff will last longer and perform better. a bike is an investment, and if it is everyday transportation,
compare it to the cost of a monthly bus pass - or gas :O) the more you can save up, the sweeter your ride...

while we are building you a bike you might like us to add some hot HAND BUILT WHEELS? we build THE best wheels you will find,
that won't need re-tensioning of any sort, maybe forever :O) we will build whatever you need - race wheels, touring wheels,
mountain bike wheels, and track wheels. we can spice it up w/ some VELOCITY colored
rims, or go classic w/ MAVIC open pros. we also use DT SWISS, ALEX, SALSA or any other rims you might fancy. as for hubs,
you can go crazy w/ CHRIS KING, tone it down a notch w/HOPE, or keep it simple w/ CAMPY or SHIMANO. we also build track wheels
w/ IRO hubs, or MICHE, or PHIL WOOD, or PAUL, or a simple FORMULA. the sky is the limit, really. whatever your heart desires,
we can make it happen. but it doesn't have to cost an arm AND a leg for a good wheel! hand built wheels start in the $175 range,
and go up from there. and, again, if you want to know why a
handmade wheel is better than a factory one, just come in and ask.
